Uhh… Why isn’t “normal” a choice? Seems to me he has more sense than most people do. Fine. Go for conduct disorder or borderline personality disorder. The others just wouldn’t have enough to back them up.
P.S. Who the heck said schizophrenia? Your teacher? Do they even know what that is? Look it up if you don’t. If Holden is schizo, I’m female.

Without regard to your choices, I’d say severe narcissism. But since It’s not an option, I’d say borderline personality disorder.
Wikipedia lists the symptoms as “unusual levels of instability in mood; “black and white” thinking, or “splitting”; chaotic and unstable interpersonal relationships, self-image, identity, and behavior; as well as a disturbance in the individual’s sense of self.”
It’s been a while since I read the book, but I remember he had a lot of “black and white” thinking, unstable interpersonal relationships, and identity issues.
He was also pretty depressed, so bipolar/manic depressive would be my second choice.
