Bi Polar, manic Depression And Birth Control??

My wife of ten years used to have sever mood swings aprx every 6 months and really bad Bi Polar episodes aprx every 2 years. When she stopped taking birth control I noticed she was alot happier in life and we havent fought since…but her baby dropped this week and that I guess means it won’t be a whole lot longer until the child comes. She doesn’t want to get pregnant again too soon as she has been pregnant for almost 1.5 years now due to a miscarriage (possibly two miscarriages)she is almost 38 and this is her first child.Has anyone else experienced a possible link to reactions to “the pill” and bipolar mood swings or manic depression?Any adivce?

Yes, I take Meds for very bad PMS,mood swings. I ended up getting an IUD after taking the pill for years and I felt more relaxed and calmer!!!

The pill does cause mood swings and un-natural hormone fluctuation. However, if a medical professional diagnosed her as Bi-Polar, I doubt the meds were all to blame.
