The sufferer has no chance of “recognizing” the signs of the shift from manic to “down”. A family member can do it; but it doesn’t help. THe sufferer is in no mood to listen to anything that anyone has to say.
There are some “triggers” but i doubt that green tea and sugar were responsible. It was just time for the manic to reappear.
