Bipolar Or Depression Medication Costs?

hypothetical:
im a 17 year old male with manic depression 165lbs with a schizofrenic mom and an alchohalic dad
goes from high highs to low lows. prone to violent mood swings
what is the cost of teh meds i’d get? if i could legally get them? only legally no illegal buying.

Totally depends on the med……. getting the preswcription will be expensive as it will require multiple trips to a psychiatrist for diagnosis……. but Lithium is only $4 a month at walmart….. on the other hand Geodon is over $500 a month….. treatment can be based on ability to pay. If you have no money then you get lithium…….

And yes, you could legally get them. Just talk to your doctor, he has to prescribe to you what you need.
and holyshit you sound so much like sam it’s just fxcking quite ridiculous. seriously im thinkin you guys must be like twins in a parallel universe or something. not really, but you’re definitely very much alikeee.

Do you have insurance? To take those medications you have to do therapy so they can increase the doses. While you’re seventeen and hit that border, try to talking to a school counselor so they can send you to a help group or some kind, because you don’t want to by medications from other people because they like to mix stuff up in it and it’s scary.

go see a shrink and tell him you will have a problem payin for the pills he should be able to you win contact with a non profit org
