Manic Depression- Jimi Hendrix Album: Are you Experienced?
Video Rating: 5 / 5

Available on DVD at www.digitalclassicsdvd.co.uk and all major retailers. Manic depression is a disease that’s little talked about and little understood. This programme, presented by Stephen Fry, explores the highs and the lows, and the causes and the treatments of a condition that may affect as many as 2% of the population. Motivated by his own personal battle, the programme follows Stephen Fry on an emotional but entertaining journey that takes him into the homes of stars such as Carrie Fisher, Richard Dreyfuss and Rick Stein; into the lives of ordinary people who juggle this illness with their working lives; and into the surgeries of psychiatrists and the labs of researchers who are trying to help control the condition. In candid interviews, we hear tales of mood swings and extremes of behaviour that can leave a sufferer living like Jekyll and Hyde; with reckless aggression, crazy sex, wild decisions and criminal impulses all thrown in. And we hear about the lows that make you wonder how they survive.

By request. I messed up in the beginning but I felt it didn’t warrant another take to get the beginning cymbal crash correct. This is my interpretation (inspiration) and I do not claim to be able to play this exactly 100% as Mitch Mitchell did but I hope I caught the overall feel of the song and I hope to inspire you as I have been inspired by his drumming for way over 30+ years. I am currently using 15 inch Paiste 2002 Sound Edge Hi-Hats vintage 1974, 2-18 inch Paiste 2002 cymbals 80s vintage, 20 inch Black label 2002 ride vintage 1978, 18 inch Sabian paragon (nice!) Sampson drum mics and stereo miking overhead

An anthropometric measuring system is used to determine the activity of the posterior pituitary gland.Under activity has been implicated in manic depression. In 1971 I studied body chemistry balancing with a true genius, Melvin Page, DDS His approach is not always that easy to understand just from reading his books available at www.ifnh.org. I therefore simplified his work in my own books and teach it to patients and healthcare providers from all over the world. I am condensing my lectures in these videos so more people can get an overview of an amazing concept that has far-reaching results.See the article on the Posterior Pituitary Gland at www.pittsburgh-dentist.com. and www.gethealthcaresolutions.com

Manic Depression is a song written and recorded by Jimi Hendrix and first released in 1967 on the Are You Experienced album. The songs name is an old name for Bipolar Disorder and Hendrix wrote the song one day after one of his managers told him “during a live interview in London” that Jimi sounded like a manic depressive. At Winterland in 1968, Jimi explains to the crowd: “I’d like to do a frustrating type of song for you, it’s called Manic Depression, a story about a guy wishing he could make love to music, instead of the same old everyday woman.” Are You Experienced is the debut album by English/American rock band The Jimi Hendrix Experience. Released in 1967, it was the first LP for Track Records. The album highlighted Jimi Hendrix’s R&B-based, psychedelic, distortion- and feedback-laden electric guitar playing, and launched him as a major new international star. In 2005 Are You Experienced was selected for permanent preservation in the National Recording Registry at the Library of Congress in the United States. It has been cited as one of the greatest debut albums of the rock era. The TV channel VH1 named it the fifth greatest album of all time in 2001. In 2003, the US version of the album was ranked number 15 on Rolling Stone magazine’s list of the 500 greatest albums of all time, having been ranked as number 5 in their twentieth anniversary listing The Best Albums of the Last Twenty Years published in 1987. In 1994 Guitarist magazine named the album number one on

The instrumental “Manic Depression” by the wonderful and talented Emilie Autumn. :) Since instrumentals obviously have no lyrics, and because it is against my principles to simply create a slideshow, I’ve been playing around with what kind of video I want to accompany the instrumentals. Let me know what you think. This song can be found on the “Laced/Unlaced” album. Find EA’s site at: www.emilieautumn.com Note: I have recently been accused of Photoshopping Emilie’s eyes to make them darker and hence more “goth-looking”… I did nothing of the sort. Yes, I Photoshop the backgrounds, but I have hardly EVER touched the actual images of Emilie aside from cutting around the background and sometimes adjusting contrast a little here and there to make the image blend with the background more. I do NOT want to make EA look more “goth”, she’s beautiful the way she is. Even if you don’t care to believe me… any of you should always remember that the EA videos I make are presented through my interpretation of them. I don’t think or even pretend to know exactly everything Emilie feels in her songs, but her songs make ME feel things, and I have the right to interpret music for myself and decide what it means to me, just as everybody else does.
