Depression Treatment Care

We have been dating for 2 years and his illness has never been an issue, but then again I have never lived through him having a manic or depressive episode. I would love to hear from someone who has bipolar or someone who has married someone with it. What should I expect? Will my life be really hard? He is on lithium medication, Will the side-effects of this medication effect my life? I love him to death, and having this illness would never in a million years stop me from marrying him, I would just like to know what its truly like to live with someone who has bipolar. Any advice or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated!

My husband has bi polar – you need to see a decent pyschiatrist who will talk you through your options…he will choose the right medication to suit you ….it is also important not to have to much stress in your life…..best wishes xx
